Harrison Clark is a writer and musician based in Seattle. With projects ranging in genre from free and improvised music, to minimal house, to stage musicals, Harrison is continuously finding new ways to expand his voice and sound.
In collaboration with creative partner Ben Mizrach, Harrison wrote the book, music, and lyrics for Almanac – a stage musical exploring police violence on a predominantly white college campus. The show premiered in Somerville, MA to a sold-out crowd in the fall 2021.
In December 2023, Harrison and Ben reunited for a residency at the Kennedy Center where they developed the live album Orbiting Lovers & Contraband alongisde an all-star cast of musicians. The project, building off the characters from Almanac, centers self-love and the roadblocks that stand in love’s way.
Harrison also serves as vocalist/MC for FUGITIVE, an NYC based experimental jazz/hip-hop group led by pianist Jonathan Paik. The band released a tour documentary titled A Work of Fiction in the Fall of 2024.
A current CityArtist grant awardee, Harrison has turned his focus to a solo project centered around the threat of natural disaster and mass displacement in our region. An effort which seeks to blend historic Seattle sounds into a chilling, reflective piece on our proximity to rubble.
